Markus was cornered. Pressed against the dirty wall of the alley, as three alphas were towering over him. Markus was a small and weak omega, his scent mirroring the panic he was feeling. He hated alphas, he hated being small and weak, he hated being nothing to them in any regards whatsoever.

He was crying, squeezing his eyes shut, as one of them held his wrists above his head, muttering painful, dirty things in his ear, while the other two were ripping at his clothes.

Markus held Mae close to himself, gently rocking her. He hummed a soft lullaby he used to sing in the kindergarten for upset or sleepy children, hoping it would help her too. It was still rather early, but he felt like perhaps a nap would still be good. Crying was exhausting after all.

But first, he waited for her to calm down some.

Mae slept for few hours waking before lunch. She didn’t want to bother Markus though so sat by a dolls house she had and started to play quietly.

Wilford was inching to call and check up on them but knew he shouldn’t. If he couldn’t trust Markus today what would he do any other day? He needed to expand his trust.

Markus was humming softly in the kitchen. He had explored it and was pretty sure he could manage to make something for lunch, so here he was. He didn’t make too much, since he didn’t know how much Mae would like to eat, and he didn’t want to eat anything. But cooking was calming for him, cutting up whatever he needed easily, listening to what was cooking. It was nice.

Markus was sitting in a little cafe, drinking hot chocolate and eating a piece of chocolate pie. He was small and petite, and he looked weak through and through. He was weak too, a small and weak omega. But he was obviously bonded, from the mixed scent that came from him to the bonding marks on his neck he couldn’t really hide. They looked rather painful, and like his alpha had tried to make sure he couldn’t hide he was bonded.

He was alone though. He had come here alone, and intended to stay alone. At least he would like to be alone, since he felt safer that way.

The forest guardian

“Alright. I’ll leave you be then.”, Elvin said with a light smile. If the other didn’t need him, he would leave him be. He never was too fond of being around others, though he was aware that the other wasn’t just a human.

He turned to walk back into one of the trees, to go back to his tree.

“It’s okay.”, Elvin said and smiled softly. He could tell the other had just tried to help, though may hadn’t had the best idea for it.
“Are you okay?”, he asked then, not bothered at all by the other’s strange appearance. Elvin had branches growing out of his head, so who was he to judge anyone else?

“ ‘m fine…” the creature managed out. the only injuries that he had gotten was a rabbit bite and a couple of thorn scratches in his palms. a few were deep but not many. this, however, he hid from the guardian. he was used to small injuries like these. he always gotten them from others or just himself being clumsy.

“That’s good.”, Elvin hummed, smiling. “Can I be of any help to you?”, he asked then. He’d leave again if the other didn’t need him, since he saw no reason to stick around. He could both look after other creatures, or spend time in his home.

Forest deity

Elvin seemed surprised to be told to wish for something. “A wish?”, he wondered. Did he even wish for something? He smiled lightly when he thought of something.
“I wish Agnes gets to be happy here.”, he hummed. He didn’t think he had any wishes, except for people to be happy, and his forest to stay safe.

Elvin frowned, gently laying a hand onto Agnes’ back.
“I’m sorry for that.”, he said softly. He couldn’t imagine how that must be like. He had lost friends before too, but only ever animals, and nothing… well, nothing like what happened to Agnes. He couldn’t understand even though he’d like to.

Agnes sighs softly. “It’s fine. She would’ve liked you…” She smiles. “She always liked animals, like bunnies and deer. Hopefully she’s happy now.”

She leans on him slightly and looks back up at the sky. “It’s all very pretty. I wonder what we’ll find up there in the future.”

“I’m sure she is happiest when you are happy too.”, Elvin replied softly, smiling. He looked back up at the sky with her, letting her lean against him. He didn’t know what humans did, that they traveled through the sky and into space. He just found peace in the all consuming darkness of the sky, peppered with stars.
