Elvin frowned, gently laying a hand onto Agnes’ back.
“I’m sorry for that.”, he said softly. He couldn’t imagine how that must be like. He had lost friends before too, but only ever animals, and nothing… well, nothing like what happened to Agnes. He couldn’t understand even though he’d like to.Agnes sighs softly. “It’s fine. She would’ve liked you…” She smiles. “She always liked animals, like bunnies and deer. Hopefully she’s happy now.”
She leans on him slightly and looks back up at the sky. “It’s all very pretty. I wonder what we’ll find up there in the future.”
“I’m sure she is happiest when you are happy too.”, Elvin replied softly, smiling. He looked back up at the sky with her, letting her lean against him. He didn’t know what humans did, that they traveled through the sky and into space. He just found peace in the all consuming darkness of the sky, peppered with stars.
