He shrugged, then pulled out a steel chain. It was almost like one you would have on a necklace, similar to the iron one. “I’ll be removing your wings.” He mentioned.

“Great.”, Host replied. Voice quiet, resigned with his fate. It wasn’t that hard to rip them out without damaging the wings -it’d just tear open most of Host’s back, reveal some bones most likely. Since his wings were appendages connected with his bones, anchored deep within his flesh.

He watched as they glowed, setting a small camera up. It would watch the fae’s progress in healing and send live stream to the buyers. “What else would help you heal up?” He had an idea. Get one of those mini flower things from the store, give the other an unlimited (until he took it away) supply of nectar.

“Time.”, Host replied quietly. If he got nectar from flowers, water and sunshine, he’d be fine. The crystals would hopefully have him healthy again in a few days at most. He didn’t even want it to be faster, since then he’d just get sold off quicker, and get his wings ripped out. Nothing he looked forward to.

He had gone to a crystal shop, picking up several different types. He splurged slightly, getting large pieces of amethysts and rose quartz. He got a few small pieces of emeralds and something called earthstone. Once it was purchased he headed to the car, driving back home. As soon as he got inside he opened the cage barely, dropping the contents inside before closing it.

Host flinched when he heard the crystals clatter onto the bottom of the cage. He could tell which were which, each having different magic flowing inside them. None of them were the one best for him -Heliodor crystals.

But he carefully pushed the crystals in a circle, seeing how many there were, and curled up in the middle of them, feeling them touch him a little. They all glowed then, softly, together with Host’s wings. They’d help him get healed and re-energized.

“Enjoy your treat while you can. I plan on selling you off to a collector and need you in best condition. He’s more interested in your wings that you though but they were looking pretty dull…” He left, the faint sound of his car starting and driving off being heard.

Host whimpered. He’d be killed. Great. He was just getting treated better because he was going to get his wings ripped off -which would very likely kill him. The chance of him surviving that, with no help, was as good as zero.

He curled up in on himself, hiding his face in his arms. He didn’t want to be killed, to just be in a collection of someone. But unless he could manage to touch the ground, outside, he’d be at the human’s mercy.

Zach made sure the lock still had a thick coat of iron dust on it, but wiped away most of the rest. “Do you need anything else to survive?” He had flower nectar, sun and air, taken away some of the iron…

Host pushed himself up, to get into the flower’s blossoms, to get to their nectar. He hated flowers being killed for him, but he wouldn’t be allowed out of this cage either.
“Crystals would heal my poisoning.”, he replied, flopping onto the flowers once he was done with getting nectar and water. “Amethysts would be one of the best for it…”, he knew the crystal that was most responsive to him wasn’t as common to have as amethysts, or rosequartz, so he didn’t mention it.

Wilford had simply been shopping. Yes he was in a more illegal market area because…. Whoops? He stopped at a stall with cages, iron cages, holding things from birds to… Fairies? Wilford lifted one of the cages looking at the stall owner. “How much?” @insanity

“Make an offer.”, the owner replied, voice rough.

The fairy inside the cage looked terrible. Laying on the ground, almost all visible skin red -the iron having burned him. He had been inside it for days, and he had gotten a bad iron poisoning from it. He’d be dead in a few more days if he stayed inside this cage. And even if he got out, if he didn’t get the help he needed, he’d die in maximum a week probably. Mostly since he was already weak, due to not getting treated properly.

“You’re looking sicker than normal.” He said. “What do you need to survive?” He didn’t want his little toy to die… He would kill him. Not the elements.

“Nectar from flowers, water, sunshine.”, Host replied, voice quiet. “The iron will kill me slowly.”, he muttered, not bothering to use magic to make his voice actually audible for the human. He doubted they’d want to help him heal from that even in the slightest. He’d survive long enough for Zack to kill him probably.

Zach rolled his eyes, then cut it away using a pair of scissors. The chain was rather weak. “I’m ordering you a collar.” He said harshly before dumping you back into your iron laced bird cage. It was meant for a parakeet, but the bars were small. Too small for even a fairy to escape too.

Host gasped when the chain was cut off of him, yelping when he was dropped back into the cage. He knew he’d die sooner rather than later anyways, just being exposed to iron for so long. He always tried to stay in the middle of the cage, in his smallest form -2 inches tall. It would at least help him not get too sick too quickly. Though the iron burn and short moment of exposure would leave its mark, especially since he didn’t get what he actually needed to survive properly. Nectar from live flowers, water, and sunshine. Fresh air too, of course, but every living being needed that.
