Agnes was walking through the market, humming to herself softly. She saw the little thing and smiled softly, cringing when she heard the price. She shelled out, however, and got to call him her own.
She picked the cage up and continued walking through the market, giving him a view of everything this place had to offer. “Do you have a name, little one?” She asked quietly.
The little harpy curiously looked around as he was carried in his cage, wanting to know about everything, even though he couldn’t do anything other than stand in his cage.
When he was spoken to, he looked up to Agnes. “Little songbird! Be quiet!”, he chirped. It was the one thing he had always been told, and he didn’t think he had a name.
Markus happily trilled a melody, looking around as Agnes carried him around, curious about everything.
“Me wants meat!”, he replied, bouncing in his cage. He was hungry! And he wanted a mouse or two!
“You want some food? Alright.” She goes over to another stall and gets some mice for him. “Do you want one now, or two when we get home?”
She was hoping to convince him to wait. She didn’t want to clean mouse guts out of her car. She walked out with him, going to find her car.
Markus held onto the bars of his cage as he saw all the little mice running around, just getting hungrier. He wished he could hunt for some, but he couldn’t even fly anymore. Stupid clipped wings.
“Two! Home? Home home!”, Markus chirped, looking up to Agnes and the little container with mice. He wanted them!
