Chirp

“No food!”, Markus replied and shook his head. He hopped in place when she walked around, curious to watch, and happy to be on the counter as she cuts the shirt.

“Nest?”, he asked, curious. What was she doing? He wasn’t even sure where he should make his nest, since he couldn’t really get anywhere by himself. He’d still like one though!

Agnes finished cutting the shirt and started wrapping it up into a nest. “Alright. Tell me when you’re hungry, okay?” She smiles.

Once she was finished with the nest, she set it down next to him to see if he liked it. “I hope it’s comfortable enough for you.”

Markus happily climbed into the nest, twisting and turning, before starting to tug at the strands of shirt, pulling and moving them around, changing it up. It wasn’t really stable -it couldn’t be moved and stay how he liked it- but Markus didn’t even care where his nest would be. He was just happy to have it.

“Thank you!”, he chirped, happy.
