Markus was a bit surprised, but smiled nonetheless. “I still wish you a happy birthday, Kyle.”, he said with a smile. He hadn’t expected to meet him, but it was a pleasant surprise. He knew of Kyle, of course, but he didn’t think any less of him. It never made sense to him that he wasn’t the heir to the throne, since the king had accepted him as his son, but still.
“I’m Markus, if you didn’t know. King of Elysium.”, he said and smiled softly. He highly doubted any of the kingdoms surrounding his hadn’t heard of what had happened to his kingdom, but oh well.
“It’s nice to meet you king Markus.” Kyle says. “Thank you for the birthday wishes. Wanna take a walk in the gardens with me? I could use some air and space from all these other people and the ladies with their perfumes.” He offers Markus his arm. “The smell of the flowers is much more pleasant than these artificial flower scents the ladies wear.”
“I would be delighted.”, Markus replied with a smile and a nod, taking Kyle’s offered arm. “I fully agree with you. The night is much nicer to see than all these bright colours.”, he said with a soft smile. His eyes hurt from it all, if he was honest.
