Eve was making some tea for Host, having been coming over more frequently. Humming to herself while pouring the hot water into the cup she felt a strangeness to the house. She didn’t know why, but the vibe of the house had been changing. It felt..off. Like something was bound to happen, but what she had no idea. Gently taking Host’s cup in her hand she walked out of the kitchen. “Tea is ready, Host.” She set it down in front of him and noticed he was touching his bandaged eyes. “Host? Is something the matter?”
Host barely was aware of what was going on. He remembered things, two lifes in one, and it was too much for his mind to handle. He didn’t know what was supposed and what was supposed to be forgotten. Something had merged him with another version of himself, giving him another set of memories that differed widely from his own, but also not that much. The really hurtful different memories regarded pretty much everything from when he had been shot.
“Why… why I am I still here?”, his voice was quiet, echoing slightly, but desperate to know what was real. He had died. He remembered being dead. And it hurt, it confused him, and made him pretty much fully unaware of his surroundings.
