Markus knew he had to move to eat the soup, though he really didn’t want to. He couldn’t eat when he was laying down though. So while June was away heating up the soup, he carefully sat up and bundled the blankets around him until he was comfortable, and still cuddled in warmly in the blankets.

He smiled softly when he was handed the bowl, thanking her softly.
“Markus.”, he replied softly. “Thank you for saving me.”. He was aware he had been passed out in the snow, but hadn’t been able to help himself at the time.

June smiled at him quietly. “Good to meet you, Markus. You’re welcome on that, by the way.” She settled into a chair near him, fishing out a ball of purple yarn. The woman seemed perfectly content to sit there quietly and crochet, frowning occasionally in concentration as she works on what looks like a pair of gloves.

Not long after, there is a groan from somewhere behind Markus, and June looks up. She smiles amusedly. “Hello, May.”

“Coffeeeeee,” was the hissed moan from behind Markus, from the person known as May.

Markus was silent as he ate the soup, appreciating how it warmed him up. He looked up hearing another person, but seeing how it was just someone June knew, he didn’t really mind.

He thought for a while as he ate, trying to think of the words he needed. “Do you have my cloth?”, he asked then. “From my eyes?”. He would feel better being able to hide them properly again, instead of this.
