Wilford was quick to change the cage into millions, protecting his head as the small candy pieces fell. He could feel how hurt Markus was. It hurt so bad. His mate was hurt because of him. He was dull and… Weak, sending a surge of magic to Markus.

His world was spinning. The bright colours drained completely from him. He was forced to move on foot as he tried to find a way out.

Markus whimpered feeling Wilford’s small surge of magic. He sat up on his knees, sniffing as he send his magic to Wilford. He didn’t care how much it was, as long as Wilford was fine. He was the one trapped after all, and not him. He was free, and relatively safe. He could lose all his magic and give it to Wilford without worry.

He just wanted the other fairy back with him. He didn’t want to be alone. He felt so helpless and hurt, and he needed to know what was happening with Wilford at least.

Wilford sobbed as he fell, his wing getting caught and tearing. He couldn’t get up in the window. He didn’t know what he was supposed to do finding himself a book to hide behind.

Markus rubbed his eyes. He could feel Wilford was low on magic, so he send everything he had to him. At least that’d be better than doing nothing.

He flew up, trying to see if the window was still open. He felt weak with the amount of magic he send to Wilford, but he didn’t care.

He landed on the windowsill, wanting to call out to Wilford, but he didn’t know his name. He hadn’t been able to tell him either. “Mate?”, he called, worried, afraid.

The window was open. He was so close. But he couldn’t get up. He was quick to send the magic back to him. He had no use for it. He just needed to find a way up. Hearing Markus he looked up towards the window. “Flower? Don’t come in!” He ordered trying to find a way to climb.

“No! Take my magic to survive, you- you prick!”, Markus sounded upset, and he was close to crying again.

“I coming to get you. I don’t care if you’d rather die than be with me. I at least want you safe.”, he trailed off, and began walking towards Wilford’s voice.
