“I can ride a horse too.”, Markus told Nox. They could save some money instead of getting a cart. It wouldn’t be too hard to find someone Markus could trust to bring the horse back here, then.

“I come from a little further away from here. It’s quite a long travel, normally.”, he admitted, chuckling lightly.

“Thank you.”, Markus opened his eyes, looking around. He didn’t have normal eyes. He had lost his eyes when he had been a child, but had been raised by a mirror maker. They gave him “eyes”. Markus didn’t want anyone to be freaked out by them, or think even more weirdly about him.

He could use his plushs well enough to help him out with the lack of sight when he kept his eyes closed, and had gained a well enough sense of his surroundings to get around.

He lead them, telling Nox where to go and what to look out for. They’d be traveling for at least three days to get to his home.

Night fell on the first day of their journey and Nox set up camp. She got a fire going and started to cook. It was a simple meal but it would satisfy the hunger from the day’s travel.

Silence fell between them for a while before she spoke.

“Thank you for taking me away, Markus.” She said, softly.

Markus had settled on the ground, his plush on his lap again. He was content in the silence, the slight chill of the night was nice, especially with his coat. His plush didn’t seem to tire, though comfortable and content on his lap.

“Of course.”, he said softly and smiled lightly. “I’m very glad to have met you.”.
