“Then let’s keep going.”, Markus replied. He nudged his plush and it jumped back up onto his shoulders, nuzzling against his temple softly, making him smile softly. He stood up then, patting his coat to make sure it was clean.
“We’ll be walking quite a bit, before we can find someone to take us further. Or walk.”, he hummed. They did have to walk out of the forest, and then see how they’d continue their journey.
Nox nodded, her smile not fading as she took Markus’ hand once more. She knew the way out further north and away from her house so she guided Markus through the woodland, pointing out places and telling ancient, forbidden tales that she had found in an abandoned cabin to the west.
“This woodland holds a lot more than people think.” She sighed.
Markus let Nox lead, glad for it. He didn’t exactly know where to go, after all. So he trusted her to find a way out again. He listened closely to her, curious to know about what she learned from being curious and adventurous on her own.
“It sounds very interesting.”, he replied with a smile. He liked learning, especially about new places.
