Pet Play Rules

bdsmdynamics:

An integral part of the pet play dynamic is the use of rules. These rules do
not exist to restrict or frustrate the pet in any way; rather, they are
intended to be regular reminders of the pet play dynamic, and to change the way
the pet thinks so that, with time, they become conditioned.

Popular pet play rules are almost identical to conventional
master/slave and dominant/submissive rules. Most of the time, not all of these
rules are implemented. Here are some popular examples of rules and
rituals a dom may implement:

No masturbation
without permission

No undergarments (when
required)

No saying ‘no’ (not
recommended, as this treads in TPE territory and requires you to consensually
give up consent in nonsexual situations; it is extremely intense)

Posture rules (sitting
up straight, sitting on knees with hands open when directed)

Wearing a day collar

Adhering to hand
signals such as ‘stop’, ‘quiet’, and ‘down’

Bathroom restrictions
(no going without permission)

Eating restrictions
(not eating certain foods, or not eating certain foods after a certain time
such as ‘no dessert after 9:00pm’, often to prevent nightmares)

Thought restrictions (no thinking about x, only think about y etc)

Using honorifics such
as ‘master’

Using unconventional
grammar such as addressing one’s self with lowercase letters as in ‘i’ or
‘kitten’

Referring to one’s
self in the third person such as ‘this kitten’

Exercise requirements

Weekly reflective
journaling or blogging

Servitude in some way
(sexual, chores, secretarial duties)
