Markus had been contently doodling on his hand and wrist, staying with Arthur as he went back to working. He noticed the message when Agnes was already asleep, though he still replied anyways -not knowing if she’d see it before or after sleeping.

“Until then.”, he wrote and added a small heart to it, just because he wanted to.

Agnes woke up at exactly the right time to get ready and leave the next morning. She saw the message as she was washing off her arm, writing a heart back.

She went to work prepared for the business trip, but ready to reunite with her eccentric boss as well. As they travelled to the airport, they chatted happily. She fell asleep after she got on the plane.

Markus didn’t do much different from usual. He listened to his podcast or to Arthur writing a new book. He doodled on his arm as well, just to brighten Agnes’ day a little. Hopefully. He hadn’t made art in so long, drawing nothing. It was nice to doodle again though.

It took a while before Markus was told of the reply, but he smiled at the question.
“Yes!”, he wrote back. He couldn’t write too well with his right hand, especially now that he was blind. He could write cursive somewhat well with his right hand though.

“There’s one nearby.”, Markus replied, glad when Arthur told him it wasn’t censored. He really didn’t understand how this worked, with what got censored and what not. It was just weird.

“Are you going to search for me?”, he asked then. It seemed like it, if he was honest. He wondered if she would be able to. He’d like to meet her.

Agnes smiles softly. That would make it easier. She replied almost instantly. “Yes.” She didn’t want to be lonely, and wasn’t the whole purpose of having a soulmate being with them forever?

She looked up at the clock and noticed that her break was over. “I’ll talk to you later.” She capped the marker and went back to work.

Markus smiled, happy. He would love to meet his soulmate. He knew Arthur would like to as well, and had some good clues, but he wasn’t going to leave Markus alone when he needed him. And he knew if his soulmate came and stayed with Markus, he’d be okay. At least once they got Arthur’s approval. For him, even if they were soulmates, they could still not be good. So he wanted to make sure his brother was in good hands.

Agnes hummed softly. She hoped that he didn’t have any gag mugs or anything, she would be spilling a lot. She tapped the marker against the desk for a bit.

“I’m going to be travelling tomorrow, we might be able to talk during the flight.” She smiles softly. Reunited with her boss and heading to America to try and find her soulmate, it was a busy day.

“Is it a long trip?”, Markus replied once he was able to, curious. Their breakfast was small, as neither of the brothers usually ate a lot. And Markus was slightly distracted from eating as well, writing with Agnes.

Markus needed a while to reply, mostly since he had to get out of bed and get changed, before he could join Arthur in the kitchen again, and he could tell him about her reply.

“Okay as always.”, he wrote back. “Do you work at night?”, he wondered.

“Only until tomorrow.” Agnes hums softly. She got back to work for a bit, then checked for any messages. She was a bit anxious about attentiveness. She wanted to make sure she was there for him.

If she found him, and he wanted to go back with her, she could pay for both him and his brother with the overtime pay she’s getting from this.

Markus hummed lightly. So after tomorrow she wouldn’t be working the nights anymore. He wondered at what time they’d be able to talk then.

He began doodling on his hand as Arthur made food, glad he got to write and draw on his right arm again instead of the left. He felt better writing with her himself. But since she was working, he didn’t want to distract her too much, so doodling it was.

“I love kids.”, Markus wrote back with a small smile. He really liked them, and he had had a lot of fun being in a kindergarten and helping them, teaching them. He even had been in a pre-school for some time, though he preferred the kindergarten.

“Isn’t it morning for you by now?”, he asked then. It was evening for them after all, and adding fourteen hours to that..

Due to Markus and Arthur being early risers, waking before the sun rose, Markus was just laying in bed when Agnes woke up again to go work. He didn’t know how long the message had been on his arm, when Arthur came to get him out of bed and saw it.

“Good night.”, he wrote and added a small smiling face to it. If they were right to where she was, and with her guess of the time difference, her eleven in the evening would be their seven in the morning.

Agnes looked outside and chuckled softly. “I guess it is. I have to get to bed. Last graveyard shift is tonight.” She gets up and stretches, turning the computer off.

She goes into her room and changes into her pajamas, then uncaps the marker again. “Love you.” She capped the marker, turned off the light, and went to bed.

Markus was startled when Arthur told him what she had written, blushing slightly. He carefully drew a heart in reply, letting Arthur help him wash off the rest of the messages. It was time they ate something, and then went sleeping as well. Though probably jot until a good few more hours.
