“Lay down?”, he asked softly. If he managed to fall asleep, he at least wanted the two of them to be comfortable.

Markus let Daniel pull him up, happily and softly kissing him back. He was really happy, and comfortable, and he felt safe. He couldn’t ask for anything better.

“Will you stay with me for a few days?”, Markus asked quietly. He really didn’t want to be alone for a while.

Markus giggled softly, smiling as he nuzzled into Daniel. He really liked this. Laying on top of Daniel, being loved so genuinely.

“I really like you.”, he said softly, resting his head over Daniel’s heart. “I hope you can love me. I would really like that.”, he mumbled.

Daniels heart beat picked up and he smiled widely at that. He couldn’t be happier right now. “I’m falling a little more for you every day” he whispered and pecked his forehead.

Markus smiled lightly, happy. Maybe some day Daniel would really love him. Maybe he wouldn’t fuck up. Maybe Daniel would love him even though he was a big burden, and a disappointment, and just not a great person in general. So he hoped Daniel could still love him.

“That makes me happy.”, he mumbled softly.

“Can I have a good morning kiss?” He asked softly and gripped his chin softly.

“Of course.”, Markus replied, happily kissing Daniel. Just a kiss. Waking up with him, safe. Never having to do more than he wanted, never being forced into anything. He couldn’t imagine anything better, and he hoped beyond hope that Daniel wouldn’t turn into someone terrible. Like so many others had.

“No. It’s okay. I like feeling you sleep so peaceful.”, Markus replied with a soft smile and giggled lightly. He pressed a kiss to Daniel’s jaw, nuzzling against him.

Markus slept peacefully, blissfully unaware of Daniel and his words. He was going to sleep through the night and to morning, though insomnia woke him up every hour or so. Not notably, just enough to make him semi-aware of his surroundings for a few minutes -up to half an hour- before he slept again.

Daniel fell asleep a while later, still holding onto the other. It had been an exhausting day, but it had been worth it.

Markus fully woke up some time in the morning, before the sun had risen. He shifted, feeling a little sore from how he had been laying, and some bruises hurt from it too.

But he happily nuzzled against Daniel again, though he was a bit cold.
