“Well you can’t just- just tell me that! I mean- you don’t even know me!”, Markus was still not okay with anything. “I could be who knows who! I could hate you for just telling me that without any reason other than that!”. He didn’t, of course, but that didn’t change the fact he could have.

“Do you normally go around and tell people that? Ray, some people could want you dead or something!”.

Ray rolled his eyes as he looked somewhere. “Of course I don’t say that ! But since we are soulmates I am not gonna lie you in the face and then after I don’t know weeks you see me with horns and be scared of me !”he said

“I know you are a normal human. Demons can tell by the souls. We..we cab see souls in a way and normally humans have souls that resonate in a unique way.”he said softly

“Just because we’re soulmates doesn’t have to mean anything.”, Markus huffed. “And you forgot I’m blind. I can’t see shit! I’ll never see if you’re different from a normal human.”.

“It’s like you just told me you murdered someone, you don’t tell people that if you don’t trust them! I would’ve taken this a whole lot better if I actually knew you for more than five minutes.”.

“No it doesn’t sound silly! I can’t really get around blind on my own anyways.”, Markus replied and chuckled lightly. He didn’t have a cane or anything with him, so he needed someone to help him walk around.

He held a hand out slightly, hoping that Ray would just take it and help him.

Ray smiled happily and took his hand and started to walk around the park at a normal pace with Markus. “Well first things first I am a demon so it would be a explanation why my eye color changes so often. I work for my boss and sign contract and other boring stuff but I like to go stargazing or read anything related to old myths around the worlds. I also like to cook but I am mostly good with sweet treats. What about you Markus ?”he asked softly

“Wait- what?”, that was probably the last thing Markus had expected. “You can’t just- just tell me you’re a demon!”. He was pretty shocked. How could he just say that as if it were normal! As far as humanity was concerned, such things didn’t exist. 

“No- no you can’t just. Just say that as if it’s normal”, he shook his head. 

“No it doesn’t sound silly! I can’t really get around blind on my own anyways.”, Markus replied and chuckled lightly. He didn’t have a cane or anything with him, so he needed someone to help him walk around.

“I was just taking a walk.”, Markus mumbled softly, taking a step back from Ray.
“Though I guess I need help now that I’m fully blind..”. He would need Ray’s help just to get back home, so why not walk around with him some and get to know him?

“Well we can walk together if you want….”he said softly as he looked at him with a gentle smile. He wanted to help Markus so much , but for now he wanted to be careful and respectful if Markus wanted something else. He didn’t want to pressure him

“That’d be nice.”, Markus replied and nodded, smiling lightly. “We can get to know each other.”. He would like to get to know Ray better. They were soulmates, but that didn’t have to mean anything, he was sure. Though he would be happy to have someone nice be his partner.

Markus squeaked when he was suddenly picked up, holding onto Ray.
“U-uhm- thanks?..”, he said, feeling a bit unsure. Ray was still a total stranger to him, even if they were soulmates. Well, he seemed to be nice at the very least.

“I’m- uhm- I’m Markus..”, he introduced himself softly. He had barely seen Ray before he turned blind. 

“No problem dear. My name is Ray and well it’s nice to finally meet you Markus.”he said with a little smile and moved to kiss his forhead. “I know I must act too friendly I guess but I want you to know that I want you to be comfortable with me.”he said softly with a smile and placed a kiss on his cheek.

“I- uhm-”, Markus blushed lightly at the kisses, unsure. “It’d be nice if you didn’t treat me as if we’re already dating?..”, he asked quietly. He had just learned his soulmate’s name, and already he was being held and got kisses.
“I’m a little uncomfortable….”, he admitted quietly.
