Caged

Open starter ~ Fantasy AU ~

A little creature sat in its small cage. It was almost human looking, except that the lower half of its legs were of a bird, except the feathers on its chest and arms, on his head forming almost hair, except his clawed hands, except the two wings sprouting on its back.

The wings had been clipped, and it was trapped in this cage. Like a bird to be owned, which he was treated as. Sold for high prices, like right now. It didn’t seem bothered though, and the seller spoke of how affectionate it was.

Gone

Open starter ~ Royalty AU ~

The king was missing. Almost four years ago, the king and queen had been murdered, the oldest son had left the kingdom, and the second son was just fifteen. He had been forced to become king at such a young age, but had upkept the kingdome. It was as kind, open-minded and accepting as his parents had been, and as he himself was. His one flaw was, that he was too forgiving.

No one had seen it happen. A servant said king Markus had gone into the gardens, but there was no sign of him, or any sign of him having been taken. But he was gone, and the news spread like wildfire. The kingdom had no ruler, other than the royal adviser, which had to keep the kingdom calm, and find the king again.

Neko Host AU ~ Open starter ~

Host was curled up in the corner of his kennel, as far away from the corridor as he could. He was a rescue from a very terrible owner, who had abused him badly. He was afraid of everyone, and blind on top of that.

So no one wanted him, of course. Most people wanted the cute nekos, the younger ones. The ones who loved to play and cuddle. But Host, he was afraid of being touched, he barely even spoke. He was so stuck in his habits from being abused, that living was so hard, that someone had to make sure he even ate. Because he was stuck on thinking he needed permission. And that was just one of the many things wrong with him.

Asylum AU ~ Open starter

“Welcome… pass overhead…. pretend to sleep..”, half of his words were too mumbled to be understood, quiet and swallowed by his breathing. He was always speaking, never ceasing to stop unless he was forced to, because of sleep or having to eat and drink.

He was sitting there, as he always did, head leaning against the wall. His golden eyes were unfocused, staring into nothingness, as his chapped lips moved slightly with every word he spoke.

Technically, he was safe to be around. He rarely noticed what was happening around him, nor if he needed anything. Which meant he had someone who had to feed him and make sure he drank. Sometimes, he managed to focus on reality for a few moments then. Not often, though.

Neko Host AU ~ Open starter ~

It was cold. It was winter, to be exact, and the temperatures were freezing. It would surely snow soon, breaths foggy clouds in front of the people walking outside. The sky was hung with clouds, a dark grey, ready to snow whenever it may happen.

It was a busy street. A lot of shops, small and big, some restaurants and fast food places. Hundreds of people walking through the street on a regular daily basis. Smaller streets going off of it, some alleys between buildings.

At the beginning of one of those alleys, a little carton box was on the ground. “take me” was written in black marker on it. At first glance, the box seemed empty, which was probably why barely anyone so much but glanced at the box.
Inside, curled up, was a small young neko. Freezing, shivering terribly. Only wearing rags, breaths small tuffs in front of him. He was so so cold, and tried to preserve what little body heat he had with being curled up so tightly.

Open starter ~ Fairy AU

Markus had just been resting on a flower. Like he always did! He was a flower fairy after all, barely a tenth of an inch tall. He loved feeling the sun on his wings, making them shimmer and spark.

He was rare for his kind, though. His wings weren’t like any other flower fairy’s wings, and he had more, and stronger, magic than other fairies. His wings were pure golden, with intricate swirls on them. They made him stand out a lot, and other fairies treated him differently because of it.

Normally, no humans came here to this flower field. It had happened before that some humans with cameras came, but they never bothered the fairy -glamoured as a butterfly. Markus had never had any real trouble with humans before, which was nice.

But suddenly a net came down and he yelped, struggling as the tightly knit net held him imprisoned. A human grabbed for him, making Markus cry out in pain as his delicate body was nearly crushed. He was dropped in a jar, wings getting cramped, and -a cork was put in it.

As soon as Markus noticed, he started panicking. He would suffocate! This was a solid glass jar, with a cork securely holding it. He screamed, fists banging against the glass, yet his voice was far too small to be heard. Or maybe, the glass was enchanted, so that no magic could travel through it.

It didn’t matter, because Markus was terrified for his life.
