Elvin grew incredibly worried for Ray. Whoever he was, he had saved them. He told the animals to rest easy, and return to their homes once they felt safe, before he made his way to Ray.
He easily fazed through the trees -being a spirit had its perks- he was close to Ray in mere moments. He walked over to him, worry in his amber eyes.
“You saved us.”, he spoke softly, crouching down next to Ray. “Let us save you now.”.Ray looked up at Elvin as his eyes seemed tired. “You…you are the spirit of the forest…aren’t you ?”he said in a quiet voice. He groaned in pain as he held the part that was wounded.
“Are you alright ? Are you hurt ?”he asked softly as he looked at the forest deity. He knew that deities could be strong but also some had only one job and perhaps this one could only help the forest grow
“I’m alright, thanks to you. We’re all okay, though mourn the few that are lost. But let me help you now.”, Elvin replied, smiling softly. Ray was kind, worrying even as he laid there in pain, bleeding into the forest.
“I can’t do much, but I can keep you safe from death. Someone else will come and help you.”, he continued, hands gentle as they laid over Ray’s.
Elvin, like his forest, had grown ever since his tree had sprouted. He was hundreds of years old now, and his powers grew a little bit with each moment his forest continued breathing. He couldn’t do a lot of things, but a few that could help Ray.
He could take his pain away, and he did. He could heal him a little bit, though not enough. Just enough to keep him from bleeding out. And his animals went, able to leave the forest were Elvin couldn’t, to get someone to help.
