So I’m working on an AU with the help of the lovely @darkstachio!!!!! He really likes Darkstache so I suggested a Reverse AU! Pretty much the way it goes is Wilf has the bright happy fun job and Dark has the, well, dark/gruesome job. So I suggested they switch!!!
Dark works as a florist with a brilliant mind for plant breeding. He sells regular flowers and arrangements, but most of his money comes from custom breeding flowers for wealthy clients. He’s quiet, reclusive, grumpy, and doesn’t talk much to anyone.
Next door is Happy Memories Funeral Parlor, owned by mortician Wilford Warfstache. Wilf was tired of seeing funerals that were so focused on loss and heartache that he created his own funeral home. Funerals here aren’t your typical funerals. While still done with respect and, of course, sadness, funerals at Wilf’s parlor are more of a celebration of the person’s life. The rooms are usually filled with flowers and balloons, the person’s favorite music plays, and along with the usual services there are funny stories to be told and videos from the person’s life, often funny family home videos. Wilf does everything he can to try and ease the sadness of everyone that enters the parlor.
Wilf and Dark have an interesting relationship. Naturally, a funeral home needs a lot of flowers, and with a flower shop next door, Wilf is a frequent customer. Dark tolerates Wilf, if anything for the wacky stories he has to tell and the big tip he always leaves, but Wilf thinks they’re the best of pals. If he’s being honest, Dark is surprisingly fond of the candy haired man – but don’t tell anyone.
I hope to do more with this AU, because I think it could be super fun!!!! I’ll be honest and admit if I’m not sure if their relationship will be platonic or romantic, but we’ll have to see!! Coming next week I’ll have some very special company so I may not be able to do much for it then, but I’ll try ❤
