“Perhaps, but he trusts you. If you believe it would be okay, then I would proceed without hesitation as I also trust you.” He spoke smoothly. “I see you as his temporary caretaker, and I could almost bet he does as well.”

“Well, I think it’s okay. But let`s go ask him.”, they smiled lightly. At least he was respectful so far, and they hoped that Host would come to trust him as well. He needed a good and loving home.

Kamci nodded in respect, humming softly. “I’m afraid it is a bit of a mess… I may have gone overboard buying Neko items.” He stood, smoothing out his green shirt. “If you and him allows me I would like to give hĺm a scent mark, so he can start getting used to it.”

“I can’t exactly tell you no.”, they replied and chuckled lightly. “Since he’s now reserved for you until you either get the okays or nos. So go ahead and ask him if he wants it.”.

“No, don’t.” He sighed softly, taking a breath. “If its about the punishments, it will only be after he trusts me. I won’t ever physically hurt him though, not beyond a snap on the rear. And I will be in touch. Would you like to see my home and look up my parents?”

“I’m not qualified for that, sorry.”, they smiled lightly, brushing the topic of punishments aside completely. It didn’t matter, they had no rights to say anything about it.

“Someone should call you tomorrow or so to make an appointment to visit your home and inspect it, as well as check your background and such. If you like, you can still stay here and talk with Host some more, if he likes to.”.

Kamci narrowed his eyes, growling under his breath. “Bastard. I will not do that to him- ever. The most I will ever punish him is a spanking or taking of his toys.” How could someone abuse such a beautiful creature…

“I’ll spare personal comments on that.”, they muttered quietly. They didn’t take a liking to any sort of punishment, since it didn’t help in their opinion. Other than continue to inflict fear. But, that was their opinion.

“Someone should be able to come check your home in the next few days, as well as your background. Host will stay here until you get both okays.”, they informed him then, tapping the papers where everything was written down.

“My home. And I would like to know a little about Host… I saw the scars and studied his behavior. He is terrified and untrustful. Body language suggests he has been abused, quite severely. Am I wrong?” He had learned a bit more than just how help Neko’s.

“Not really, I suppose.”, they replied and sighed lightly. They were glad Host didn’t really have a lot of scars, or at the very least not any very obvious ones.

“He’s been owned previously by a man in his fifties. We got him because the man was arrested for possession and spreading of child and mainly neko pornography.”, they told him, voice quiet.
“Host is afraid someone who’s… seen him before… will come and get him.”.

They quietly filled out the forms and got what they needed for the other to sign and read, turning the papers to face him, giving him the pen.

“Little kitten… I am going to adopt you. I promise I will never hurt you and I’ll even bring you back here now and then so they can check on you.” He stood up, looking back at the person. “I would like to feel out the paperwork.”

Host stayed quiet. He was getting adopted, and he had no clue if this person was safe or not. He couldn’t trust him, how could he?

“Ah… sure.”, they were a little surprised the other was going to adopt Host without knowing anything about him, but what could they do?
“We’ll need to do a background check and check out your home, or wherever you plan on letting him live.”, they said as they walked with him to get the papers.
“We do this for all our nekos, though Host is a sensitive case as well.”, not that the man seemed to take interest in Host’s past just yet.

“That is not what I asked, though.” He murmured. “Little one… If I were to adopt you, what would you think? Would you trust me enough if I did?”

Host tensed for a moment. He didn’t want to anger him, he didn’t want to do anything wrong and be punished for it. He barely relaxed as the other continued speaking.

“I… I don’t think so.”, he replied after a moment. He didn’t know him, he didn’t know if he was safe or not. “I don’t… I don’t know if you’re safe..”.
