Host was laying on a soft little pillow, further away from the playing kittens. He was one of the youngest ones here, or at the very least smallest. His hair and fur was a nice shade of brown, with some blond spots speckled here and there. His eyes were milky golden, and the workers knew he was born blind.
He wasn’t good with words just yet, he was quiet and reserved. He seemed to shy away from other kittens coming up to him to play or talk.
Host made soft sounds as Chase bundled him up, happily blabbering as he was carried around. He was fully content in his warm fuzzy blanket. He didn’t mind too much when he was let go then and now.
“Ohmn..”, Host stuck his thumb in his mouth, sucking on it. He’d be fine as long as he heard Chase was close to him still.
Chase talked absentmindedly throughout the car ride, mostly about his kids. “Aw you’re gonna love them. Next time they come round they’ll be able to see you, they’re gonna like you so much Host! Your brother and sister!”
Chase took Host out of the carrier as soon as. They waited half an hour in the waiting room, Chase trying to not let Host be bored as he tickled him and let him play hunt with his fingers before his name was called and Chase stood with Host in his arms. “We’re gonna see the nice doctor now okay Host? Mommy will be right there.”
Host happily babbled back to Chase as he talked, even if he didn’t really understand most of what he was saying. He just liked babbling, and making sounds. So he was really happy he was able to!
He was very happy he got to play with Chase’s fingers as they waited, squeaking and laughing when he was tickled. He made a sound when they stood up again, though quietened down again quickly.
The young doctor was patiently waiting for Chase and the neko, as always wondering about his new patient.
