“It’s no problem. I do enjoy cooking.”, Arthur replied and chuckled lightly. “I’m almost done, so don’t worry about it. Go make friends with Markus instead.”.
Markus had told him they weren’t really friends. That they really hadn’t talked a lot before, and that he wasn’t sure if he could call him friend. So, Arthur wanted to make sure that they were friends.

Markus turned off the podcast when Bing left, continuing to lay on his stomach where he was. He was comfortable like this.

Bing nodded before walking to the living room, nervous to actually talk to the omega. He didn’t know what to really talk about. He sighed softly before sitting in the chair, giving Markus space.

“Hey Markus,” he says softly, wanting to tell him that he was here and would start a conversation with him.

“Uh…do you, maybe want to start over? Get to know one another better, since we really didn’t get to meet and talk for very long before.”

Markus turned onto his side, humming softly. He was hugging his bunny again, never wanting to leave it alone somewhere. And he liked being able to hug things, especially when he didn’t have Arthur with him.

“Okay.”, he replied softly. “I’m Markus. Arthur’s my brother. Nice to meet you.”, he smiled a little bit.

“Sure…”, Markus mumbled quietly. He squeaked when he was picked up again, holding onto Agnes. He would greatly appreciate new clothes though, he got cold really easily.

“Thank you..”, he mumbled, hiding his face against her. He wasn’t happy being such a bother all the time, but he was very dependent on other people.

“Alright.”, Arthur hummed, while Markus cuddled into Arthur’s side. The two talked together for a while, trying to find a solution for Markus’ heat. Markus didn’t want to bother Bing with staying here, but he understood that a hotel would be a bit troublesome as well.

Arthur let Markus decide, deciding to work on his idea for his next book, writing in his notebook while Markus laid half on top of him on the couch. He wasn’t bothered by it, it was rather familiar for them.

Bing took much longer than he had told Markus and Arthur, going much past lunch before coming out of his room. He groaned softly before remembering the omega and alpha. He walked into the living room before tilting his head at the two.

“Hey, you guys hungry? It’s a bit late but I could probably make us something,” he said rubbing the back of his neck. He was pretty bad at remembering when to stop editing, he was just used to being alone and not really needing to cook that much.

Arthur had gotten up around lunchtime, mostly since Markus was getting hungry and he could tell Bing wasn’t done yet. So he went to the kitchen and started cooking, humming softly to himself. Markus meanwhile was still laying on the couch, listening quietly to a podcast on Arthur’s phone.

He turned to look towards Bing when he heard him, still a little uncertain being alone with him. “Arthur’s cooking.”, he mumbled.

“Okay…”, Markus mumbled and nodded lightly. He had a lot of scars on him, though mostly on his arms. There were a few faded bonding marks on his neck still, though he didn’t smell like he was bonded with anyone at the moment.

He shifted, a little uncomfortable with knowing Agnes could see his scars. He hoped she would at least not ask.

Agnes respected his privacy. She didn’t care about his past. She just washed him quietly, humming to herself while she did. After a while, the water was very dirty but Markus was very clean. She got him out of the water, them dried him with a towel.

After she was done cleaning him, she smiled. “Are you hungry at all?”

Markus was glad for the silence. He didn’t want to be asked anything about himself too much, he wanted to keep his past to himself. It was obvious enough anyways.

He thanked her quietly when she helped him out and dried him off, holding the towel close to himself. “Not… not really..”, he mumbled quietly.

Arthur carried Markus with him to the living room, smiling lightly at Bing.
“Thank you.”, he told him, setting Markus down in front of his plate, and then sat down himself. He gave Markus his plate, before grabbing his own.

Markus was indeed pretty hungry, his scent had already changed a little bit, becoming just a tad sweeter. Arthur wasn’t bothered, as he was family.

Bing could smell the change, but thought it was just something else in the room, maybe the pancakes which had just been cooked. For now he’d be okay, but once Markus’ heat started, he’d probably have to lock himself in his room for a while, at least until Markus’ heat finished.

“If you’re still hungry Markus, there’s still more food, I made extras just in case you wanted more,” he said smiling softly at the omega, hoping that he was able to relax and feel safe in the house.

“Thank you.”, Markus said softly, smiling lightly at Bing. He felt better now. He was away from the bad, and Arthur was here with him. With Arthur, he was safe, and he could trust him. And he knew Arthur trusted Bing too, so he must be okay.

He happily finished his plate, though decided not to eat more for the moment. He’d be hungry again later anyways, and he was sure that Arthur wasn’t going to finish his food anyways. He never ate a lot, so Markus happily finished his plate for him.
