Draw on me

Markus had stayed most of his time in bed, getting up some time in the afternoon to make a bit of food, going to Arthur’s study to make him eat something too. The break was reluctantly appreciated, and Markus happily nuzzled into him again like the day before.

They were still sitting together when Arthur noticed Agnes’ new message. Markus got up and grabbed a marker, before going back to Arthur’s side.
“Yes.”, he wrote back carefully.

Markus was quiet for a while, before he lightly nodded. “Fine..”, he mumbled. As long as he could continue cuddling with Daniel for the rest of the day, he wouldn’t mind eating something. He wouldn’t promise he’d eat a lot though.

“Okay good.” He smiled and held him. “So, what do you normally do? Tv? Or radio?” He asked softly.

“Podcasts.”, Markus replied quietly. He didn’t like TV or radio a lot, the music that played wasn’t his taste, and he wasn’t too fond of being unable to pause what he was hearing. Podcasts were his favorite things.

“I read too.”, he added. He had a lot of braille books.

“I.. I just have to trust the person if they say it’s colourful.”, Markus mumbled, looking away and to the lake again.
“I try to take a picture of it and send it to my brother though. I can trust him to tell me.”, he muttered quietly. He just wasn’t always able to right away. When he got stuck in an abusive relationship, it was hard to just be on his phone without being controlled.

“I haven’t met them yet, so I don’t know how it would feel… just.. hopefully good.”:

“I haven’t found mine yet. But I dream about the day I do. The colors, the moment, the person? Female or male or whomever. I just hope they’re nice.” She said giving a dreamy sigh. “I can’t wait. I’m 25 and lonely.” She chuckled.

“I hope so too.”, Markus hummed softly. “But they can be anywhere on the world. You could find them when you’ve grown old.”. Many people tried their hardest to find their soulmate, but Markus wasn’t about to force it. His soulmate would find him some day, and they’d touch, and he would hopefully be happy with them.

“Mh… don’t wanna..”, Markus mumbled. He didn’t eat a lot, nor often. Usually he barely got anything to eat after getting up, and rarely in the evenings something. Most of the time, he just didn’t eat. Either because he didn’t feel like it, because he felt like he didn’t deserve food, or because past insults to his appearance and weight -which had never been a lot- plagued him.

Daniel looked down at the other, “darling you need to eat. Your body needs energy and it only gets that by eating” he explained softly and rubbed his sides.

“I know… but.. no..”, Markus pressed his face into Daniel’s neck, holding onto him tighter. He really didn’t want to. He neither wanted to move, nor let Daniel move. Or leave him, for that matter. He was warm.

“You don’t need to be sorry.”, Markus hummed, changing his position a little. Resting his chin on his knees, opening his eyes to look out at the lake. His eyes looked pretty much normal, their colour almost golden in the light.

“How would you have known? You just met me, and I as sitting with my eyes closed.”. And his cane laid on the other side of him, pushed in to not be in anyone’s way.

“Alright.” She saw his eyes and hers widened, “You have beautiful eyes Markus.” The woman was captivated by the golden color. She watched him adjust himself and a light blush came upon her cheeks.

“Thank you.”, Markus smiled lightly towards her. It was pretty much impossible to tell he was blind at first glance like this. He hadn’t always been blind, so it wasn’t too hard for him to face someone when they were nearby and speaking.
