The little spirit plopped down on the ground, watching curiously as Quinton laid down the book and opened the pencils. Curiously they pulled out the blues, tilting his head.
“Blue and blue?”, they asked, looking to Quinton. Why were there two different blues? Or rather, how were they supposed to say which blue they liked more, if they were both named blue?
Quint nodded. Gently placing his finger on the top of the lighter shade. “We call this one light blue, or sky blue. Because its lighter. Like the sky.” He said before pointing to the other. “And this one is dark blue. Because its darker.”
“There’s lots and lots of colours. All with different speical names.”
They listened and nodded. Light and dark! That was easy to understand!
“Light green and dark green!”, they smiled brightly and pointed to the different greens. “Light.”, they pointed to yellow. “And light. And light.”, they pointed to orange and white. “Light white!”, they smiled brightly.
“Oh oh dark white?”, they pointed to the grey.
They were very happy learning about colours.
