insanity-is-spreading:

He wasn’t the nicest as he pressured people into giving information. The magic still coursed around his body even after the flames dissipated he seemed to glow.

It wasn’t hard to find out that something had happened at the coast. The fishers had been forced to flee from whatever had happened so that’s where he headed. He wasn’t stupid. The edge of the kingdom was where he spent the vast majority of his life was spent on the outskirts.

Red flags rose as the first thing he saw was a single ship. A ship that wasn’t theirs. He didn’t know where it was from, he was as sheltered from other kingdoms as he was from this one. He could see people on the ship so avoided it for now looking for something else. A building nearby. Anywhere he could scout out.

The door opened to where Markus was being kept, blinding him, used to the darkness of the room. He was roughly grabbed and yanked to his feet, dragged after the bulky man that had grabbed him. All he could do was stumble weakly after -he hadn’t properly slept since being wherever he was. He knew it was away from the castle, from the ride in the cart he had noticed happening, but not how far.

He could tell when they left the building, some people talking, and he was dropped into a barrel, which was then sealed shut. He was glad it wasn’t dirty or wet, though he could tell why he was in here. No one would bother to check through food and water supplies.
